The streets of Hell’s Kitchen are restless. Crime festers like an open wound, and with Wilson Fisk behind bars, a new power struggle begins. In a dimly lit apartment, Matt Murdock wakes from a nightmare — echoes of his last brutal battle still haunting him. He slips out of bed, his body covered in bruises, silently preparing for another night as Daredevil. By day, Matt struggles to restart Nelson & Murdock, taking small cases to keep afloat. Foggy Nelson tries to stay optimistic, but Matt’s obsession with justice weighs heavily on their friendship.
Karen Page, now an investigative journalist, chases a lead on a shadowy crime syndicate rising in Fisk’s absence — a group called The Veil. At night, Daredevil prowls the streets, intercepting a drug shipment at the docks. The fight is vicious, and Matt’s exhaustion shows. He defeats the henchmen but discovers a cryptic symbol burned into the crates — a calling card of a forgotten enemy. Meanwhile, Fisk, from within prison, manipulates events through his loyal followers, whispering promises of destruction for Daredevil. And in the shadows, a new player emerges — The Muse, an unhinged artist who uses Hell’s Kitchen as their canvas, leaving grotesque "art pieces" made from crime scenes. The episode ends with Matt collapsing in his apartment, blood dripping from his knuckles, as he listens to a police scanner crackle with news of another murder. The weight of his double life crushes him, but he clenches his fists, determined to rise.
Matt Murdock is broken — but Daredevil will never die.
