Marvel Rivals immediately reversed its mid-season rank reset, which was announced yesterday. NetEase said the second half of Season 1 will arrive on 21st February 2025. Players' ranking would be dropping at four divisions; Dev Diary posted that NetEase described as a wealth of feedback, nothing the studio is aware of time and effort made by to rank up in the game; A concern was raised that rank reset happened for every half-season, that made game experience in competitive mode is less enjoyable.
Additionally, adding The Fantastic Four's Human Torch and The Thing in next week's update will be prior informed, and players' hard-won earnings will be safe and retain their ranks and scores from the end of the first half. If players want to earn new rewards, they need to participate in 10 matches in Competitive mode and meet the appropriate conditions by the end of the season. Rewards are Gold rank costume, a variety of Crests of Honor, Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All.
